Ecologie :
Loudetia arundinacea grassland with scattered trees of Terminalia laxiflora, T. brownii, Pterocarpus lucens, Combretum collinum, Vitex doniana on rocky outcrop; on black cotton soil and as a weed in cultivations; etc... Very similar to C.petitiana , but has much smaller flowers and fruits. Where the ranges overlap, there seems to be mixing of characters. - Large-flowered forms in Ghana confuse the distinction.
