    Annual herb with procumbent to ascending, repeatedly forked acaulescent by reduction; stem to 25 cm long.
    Ecology :
    Ecology unknown in W Sahara. N Africa; Malta; Cyprus; Middle East to Caucasus and Iran. The size of the plant varies tremendously according to the water avaible (fide Boulos).
